Looking for Minecraft LEGOs for Sale?

I once asked my 13-year-old cousin to explain Minecraft to me. The child was—and still is—obsessed with the game, and I was curious as to why it was such a big deal for him. He started off by trying to explain the details of the game to me, and I shamefully must admit that they went over my head. Frustrated, he finally blurted out, “Simplified, it is digital LEGOs.”

Which is likely why LEGO decided to offer Minecraft LEGO sets for sale; the two go together so well, and combining them increases the exposure for both products. Not to mention that they make it easier to shop for the Minecraft obsessed in your life and encourage them to put down the device for a few hours.

There are many different Minecraft LEGOs for sale, including LEGO Minecraft: The Village and LEGO Minecraft: First Night. You can purchase these sets in stores or from online retailers. However, I personally feel like the joy of playing with the same set is pretty short lived, which is why I think the best way to acquire these Minecraft LEGO sets is through Pley.com.

Pley is a LEGO rental service that carries multiple Minecraft sets, including LEGO Minecraft: The Village. You can gift credit towards a subscription or you can purchase the subscription yourself. It is a great way to give someone a gift that keeps on giving—and bring that Minecraft fanatic in your life back into the real world.

Enjoy Minecraft without the Device

Minecraft and LEGOs are like two peas in a pod; both are focused on building and help children learn more about STEM concepts. So, putting the two together in a LEGO set is pretty genius, and LEGO has done exactly that.

LEGO has several Minecraft themed sets that you child is sure to enjoy. This is a welcome relief for parents of the Minecraft obsessed since it encourages children to put down the device for a while without letting go of the joy they take in the game. It is the perfect way to cut back on screen time without devolving into a fight.

What do these Minecraft LEGO sets look like? They essentially take common scenes in the game and bring them to life. These sets include the same structures—which your child will build—and the same characters—which take the form of minifigures. You can purchase these sets in store or online.

However, if you are like most parents, you won’t want your house filled with LEGO sets. If this is the case for you, consider purchasing a subscription to Pley. Is Your Child Minecraft Obsessed? LEGO Has You Covered

If you are a parent to a Minecraft obsessed child, you might be struggling to come up with gift ideas for birthdays and holidays.  After all, once they own the game, they own it all, right?  Not exactly.  There is a lot of Minecraft themed merchandise out there.  However, there are not many options that really embrace the spirit of the game as much as they do the general theme.  However, Minecraft LEGO sets embrace both the spirit and theme of Minecraft.

Micro World Minecraft LEGO Set

One great Minecraft LEGO set is the Micro World Minecraft LEGO set.  As one would expect from the name, it is a small, condensed version of the Minecraft world, allowing your child to lose him or herself in the game without getting in extra screen time.

What Makes This Set Great?

Minecraft Micro World LEGO comes with lots of accessories and minifigures so that your child can really get into the play and connect it with their digital gaming.  It contains all the elements needed to mimic the basic Minecraft universe and is perfect for novice players as well as those who are more dedicated to the game.

Where Can You Purchase This Set?

You can purchase the Minecraft Micro World LEGO set in stores and online.  However, you can also rent it from Pley.com if you prefer to reduce the amount of clutter in your home.  Pley allows you to rent one or more sets per month, sending them back once your child is ready for a new one instead of storing them in your home.  To learn more, visit Pley.com.

If you are really wanting to cut down on screen time, consider an option that combines some of Minecraft’s great features with tactile play, such as LEGO sets.  LEGOs require play quite similar to that of Minecraft; however, if you really want to get your child excited, opt for a Minecraft LEGO set.

Minecraft: Snow Hideout LEGO Set

Minecraft: The Snow Hideout is a very fun set to build and is sure to appeal to your Minecraft enthusiast.  Your child can build the Snow Hideout, which features a Creeper with explode function, a Snow Gollum with shooting function, Steve, and more.  This Minecraft: Snow Hideout LEGO set is great for acting out scenes from the game and for playing with friends who are also Minecraft obsessed.

Too Many LEGOs? We Have the Solution for You!

My daughter is obsessed with LEGOs. While these toys have been around since I was a kid, it seems that they are more popular than ever, thanks to LEGO Movie. My child was one of the kids swept up in the craze and I was happy to indulge her. At least I was at first.

I think we were on our seventh set when I realized this was going to become a problem. My daughter is smart, and she builds her LEGO toys fast. She could easily work herself through three sets in a month if allowed. Even opting for the more complex sets doesn’t slow her down for long. And I didn’t want my home covered in LEGO toys.

I needed a solution, so I stated researching child toy rental services. Most of these child toy rental services are focused on younger kids, offering toys that are suitable for kids aged 0-4. When I browsed their offerings, I didn’t find much in the way of LEGOs and I was not feeling inspired.

Then I came across Pley. Pley is a LEGO rental services; yes, it is focused specifically on LEGOs. The company offers hundreds—maybe thousands, but I am not counting—of LEGO sets to choose from. We have only had the subscription for a few months, but my daughter has a very long queue of sets she is wanting to play with and I know she will be staying busy for a very long time.

To learn more about their service, visit Pley.com.

Explore City Life with LEGO City Sets

For young children, going into larger cities can be incredibly exciting. Even when you are just driving through, there are so many different things to see. From massive police stations to vehicles, you rarely see and home, it gets pretty exciting.

LEGO City is one of the themes LEGO releasing their sets under. The LEGO City sets are focused on vehicles you encounter on city roads—such as emergency services, civilian services, and even cement trucks—as well as the buildings and figures you would associate with these vehicles. No matter which LEGO toy you choose from the theme, your child is guaranteed to spend many hours in imaginative play, acting out scenarios from city life.

The LEGO City theme has many different LEGO toys, and you won’t want to buy them all. If you did, your house would be covered in LEGOs. Instead of purchasing these sets, rent them from Pley.
Pley is a LEGO rental service that allows your child to have the chance to play with many different sets over time without you needing to find the space to store them. You simply rent a set, let your child play with it until he or she is done, and then send it back for another.

Pley has many different LEGO City sets. To see the exact ones they offer, or to learn more about their subscription levels, visit Pley.com.

Toy Rental Services: What are They and Why are They a Great Option?

It is a problem many parents experience: a house overrun with toys. Between holidays, birthdays, and the random spoiling from loving relatives, the collection of toys quickly outgrows the toy box. Even if you have an entire playroom, keeping those toys organized and contained can be difficult.

Many parents choose to adopt a one-in-one-out policy: for every toy that comes in, one must be donated. This works well for some families. However, the prospect of tossing out a beloved toy knowing it will never be seen again is stressful for many children. Choosing between the new toy they are excited about and the old one they love can be incredibly difficult.

Luckily, there is now an alternative that can save parents and children from the stress of choosing between toys: toy rental services. There are quite a few of these toy rental services out there to choose from. You can purchase these yourself and also get those constant gift-givers on board with purchasing a monthly subscription instead of individual toys.

The way these rental services work is quite simple. You rent a certain amount of toys at a time and send them back once your child grows bored with them. As a parent, you will love that your home is never overrun by toys and your child will love getting the chance to experience many different toys while knowing that if he or she misses them, they can be rented again. Below are a few different toy rental services currently available.
Pley

If you have a child who loves making LEGO creations, this is the service for you. Pley offers a rental library with hundreds of different LEGO sets to choose from. You create a queue of sets your child is interested in and as you send a set back, the next in line is shipped out. How many LEGO creations can your child make each month? That all depends on the subscription you choose.

Spark Box Toys
This service focuses strictly on educational toys. Offering options suitable for birth through up to four years old, it focuses on toys that are vital to your child’s development but also likely to be outgrown quite quickly. It is a great way to help your child work on important skills without constantly buying and giving away toys.
Toys Trunk
This service is similar to Spark Box in that is focuses on educational toys for the 0-4 year age range. The difference is that this service lets you rent larger items, including a play kitchen. It is a great way to experience those big-ticket items without committing to have them around full-time.

A Parent and Child Friendly Solution to LEGO Obsession

My son has been obsessed with LEGOs since he was a toddler. It started with the DUPLO sets. At first, we bought a single set with about 20 pieces. But then it grew and grew and grew. There was always a different block or figure he needed. By the time he was four, the had several plastic tubs filled with them—and not small tubs, either. Our house was overrun by LEGOs.

As he got older, we switched to the smaller LEGOs, selling the DUPLO sets. I thought this would take up less space since the blocks are smaller, but the smaller the blocks, the more sets there are to buy. Every birthday or special occasion meant more sets, and my son saved his allowance to buy them on his own, as well. Once it was clear that space was a premium, we asked him to eliminate some sets. He struggled because he knew he would want to play with each of them again. And, in truth, he probably would eventually come back to them. However, we could not live in a house built of LEGOs, so we had to find a solution.

Luckily we did, in Pley.com. Pley is a LEGO service that allows you to make a certain amount of LEGO rentals each month; the exact amount depends on the subscription you choose. When we researched it, we found that the majority of his sets were there, available for rent. We let him take the time to browse the sets the site offers and get really get excited about all the possibilities. Then, we offered to help him sell his sets in exchange for a subscription to the Pley LEGO rental service.

Let me tell you, he has not been disappointed. When he misses one of his old sets, we just rent it and let him build with it again. And now, he gets the chance to experience sets that we had never even seen for sale in the stores near us. He enjoys having the chance to try out the more complex sets so he can see just what all he is capable of but still comes back to some of the simpler sets from time to time. We also get to enjoy building together on a regular basis since we as parents are no longer bored by the same sets over and over.
And, best of all, my home isn’t overrun by tiny, plastic blocks. If you think your family could benefit from this LEGO service, visit Pley.com. Take time to browse the sets available and learn more about the subscriptions available before choosing the one that is right for you.

Discovering Art History Through Play

There is so much more to learn about history than what is taught in our standard history classes. While your child might be studying things like the Civil War and World War II, what about things like art history? A lucky few children will get to study it as part of their art class but many will not be aware of these sub-section of history until college.

So why no enrich your child’s life by introducing it to him or her early on? No, I don’t mean sitting in a dark room looking at slides and memorizing titles and dates. There are plenty of child-friendly ways to help your son or daughter learn more about art and its history. One currently popular option is purchasing LEGO Architecture sets.

These sets allow children to build scale models of landmarks and famous architectural marvels that helped to reshape the field and the way it approaches design. One of these sets is the Imperial Hotel LEGO set which is a model of the hotel once located in Tokyo, Japan and designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. This set is quite unique as it allows your child to experience an architectural marvel that no longer actually exists; while many of the LEGO sets are modeled after buildings you could visit if you wanted to, the Imperial Hotel LEGO captures something from the past, something that might otherwise be forgotten. In a way, this set is the essence of art history and its desire to preserve in person and in memory the work of artists.

Play to Display

As parents, it makes us feel good to give our children plenty of toys to play with. They get so excited and children learn so much from play. At the same time, it is hard to find the place to store all of these toys. And let’s be honest, most toys are not attractive enough to keep out for people to see. So, what is the solution?

Why not purchase a few LEGO sets for your child this year? If you buy the right set, the end result will be something that will make you proud to display. Some of the more attractive sets offered by LEGO are the LEGO architecture sets. These sets allow you and your child to build famous landmarks as well as important architectural designs that you might not know by name but that greatly influenced the field.

Take, for example, Fallingwater LEGO set. The Fallingwater LEGO set is a scale model of the famous home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1934. At the time, it was revolutionary, inspiring architects to design homes and buildings that embrace nature rather than fighting it.

Oh, but you can’t just settle for a single LEGO set, even if the Fallingwater LEGO is incredibly cool. But if you get too many, you will run out of room to display them all, right? Not if you use Pley.com. This LEGO rental service allows you to borrow LEGO sets instead of buying them. So you can build as much as you want and display the sets for a while before sending them back. And should you decide you want one to be permanently on display, you can purchase it from Pley.

Inspiration for Now and for the Future

As parents, we often consider how the toys we give our children could shape their future selves. That is why we purchase things such as play kitchen sets and doctor dress-up and science experiment kits. But when you really look at the toys that are out there, the fields they encourage are pretty narrow. What if your child doesn’t enjoy cooking, thinks being a doctor is boring, or has no interest in conducting experiments? What if what gets your child excited is art, architecture, and design?

It may not be as obvious as a doctor dress-up set, but there are many toys that focus on these elements. In fact, you probably have at least one toy in your house that focuses on all three elements: LEGOs

From the sets designed for the youngest of children all the way to the most complex options favored by adults, each one naturally focuses your child on art, architecture, and design. However, if you have an older child who has expressed interest in the way buildings are designed, there is a special series of LEGO sets to look into called LEGO Architecture.

This series of LEGO sets focuses on famous landmarks as well as architectural marvels that the average person might not be aware of but that would be studied in any architecture or art history program. One set they offer is the Farnsworth House LEGO set. Even if you haven’t heard of Farnsworth House, any architect or architecture student certainly has, and it is something anyone curious about the field should learn about. That makes this Farnsworth House toy the perfect choice for your curious child.

Not excited about the prospect of your home turning into a LEGO showcase? No worries; you can rent these LEGO sets instead. Pley is a LEGO rental service that makes it easy for your child to build to his or her hearts content without you needing to build a special room just to store the LEGOs. There are several subscriptions levels, each one giving you access to more complex sets and more sets per month. Shipping is free both ways, so this service doesn’t break the bank.

Make Playtime a Family Affair

Life is busy. School, work, extracurriculars, housework, and more fill our lives and take up our time. Throw in a few moments to relax or play and your schedule is pretty full. Unfortunately, for many of us, our busy schedules come at the expense of quality time with our family.

How can this be remedied? Well, one solution is to look at what we do to unwind. For parents, unwinding tends to mean sitting down and doing nothing other than relaxing. For kids, it means getting in playtime. What if, instead of sitting on the couch and watching TV or reading, we instead chose to get in the floor and play with our kids?

You might think that this is easier said than done. After all, it can be difficult to show and maintain interest in your children’s toys. But as they get older, this gets easier, and there are absolutely toys out there that can hold your interest or even get you excited about playing. Being an adult doesn’t mean losing your imagination.

Our choice for toys that can engage the whole family? LEGO! Truly, any of the more complex LEGO sets will do an excellent job of challenging both parents and children alike. However, we are particularly fond of LEGO Architecture sets. These sets are excellent at getting parents into the process as they allow you to build models of buildings we are familiar with and may have even studied while in school.

One example of a LEGO Architecture set that is great for the whole family? The Leaning Tower of Pisa LEGO set. This complex LEGO set is perfect for making you feel challenged while giving you a great product to look forward to ultimately creating. Once you are finished, you can feel proud of the building you made and can even have fun researching the tower and where it is located together.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa LEGO set is not the only awesome LEGO Architecture set you can make. However, even if it offers quality family time, you probably don’t want your entire house to be filled with little LEGO buildings. The solution? Subscribe to Pley.

Pley is a LEGO rental service that gives you access to sets like the Leaning Tower of Pisa LEGO as well as thousands more. The sets you can access and how many you can rent each month is determined by your subscription level. It makes it easy to enjoy building together as a family without having your house overrun with LEGO blocks.

Rent the Power Mech LEGO Set from Pley.com

Every child loves playing with LEGOs, but no parent likes to store them. You can never stop at just one set—there are too many possibilities out there. But multiple sets means managing a lot of clutter. Sure, you could sell each set once your child tires of it, but what if he or she wants to play with it again later on? Then you just have to buy it all over again.

Thanks to Pley.com, there is a solution to this problem: rent LEGOs, don’t buy. Through their rental system, you can borrow any of the sets in their library to enjoy at home for as long as your child would like. Once your child gets bored with the current set, just send it back and have the next one sent to you. It is that easy.
Do they offer quality LEGO sets? You bet! Take the Power Mech LEGO set for example. The Power Mech toy provides your child with three distinct options for play. First, you build the robot. Children love this option as he looks powerful and futuristic. From his leg boosters to his detailed body armor, he will inspire hours of creative play. Once the robot stops being so interesting, it can be transformed into a pick-up truck or a helicopter.

The Power Mech LEGO set, while wonderful, is hardly the only awesome LEGO set you can rent. Beyond the Power Mech toy, there are thousands of other sets to choose from. You will never run out of options with Pley.com.

LEGO Creator Sets: The Ultimate Transforming Toy

Children love any toy that can take on multiple forms. It is why transforming toys are so popular—and so beloved that adults are still willing to flock to movies based on them decades after they put their toys down for good. However, from a play standpoint, your typical transforming toys leave something to be desired.
The primary problem is that they are too easy. The toys goes from one thing to the next with a few adjustments, doing all the work for the child. While it is fun and can help your child imagine various possibilities in life, there is a lot to be said for having to really think and work through the transformation.

LEGO Creator sets, like the Thunder Wings toy, are the ultimate in transforming toys. The Thunder Wings LEGO set can be configured in three different ways: a jet-style airplane, a concept car, and pretty awesome robot. But transformation doesn’t take place at the push of a button or a few, quick adjustments.

Instead, the child has to work to be able to play with the three different forms this set can take. This means making a plan, solving problems as they come up, approaching these problems with creativity, and reflecting on what they did once they are finished. The Thunder Wings toy, and other LEGO Creator sets, provide a very fulfilling, well-rounded form of play.

Children also tend to place a high value on things they create on their own. While you typical store-bought toy might get tossed aside after just a small amount of play, your child will spend days or weeks playing with the Thunder Wings LEGO set. Imagine all the things you can do with the plane, then the robot, and then the car. It provides a creative experience plus three different toys in just one set.

But, if you are like many parents, you probably don’t want your home overrun by tiny blocks; it is a pretty easy trap to fall into if your child is LEGO obsessed. The good news is that there is a solution to this problem, allowing you to enjoy hundreds of different LEGO sets without ever needing to store them away: Pley.com.

Pley.com is part of the growing sharing economy. You subscribe to the service—just as you would other sharing services , like Netflix—selecting the plan that best fits your needs. You then get access to their library of LEGO sets and can rent them for as long as your child wants to play with them. Once your child tires of a particular set, you just send it back and the next set is shipped out to you. It is that easy. Head on over to Pley.com to lear.

The Importance of Play

I remember sitting in anintroductory psychology class in university. The professor was explaining to the class how important it is to understand childhood development. As he explained it, the experiences we have as children form who we are as adults. From the type of play we engage in to the interactions we have with peers and elders to the way language is modeled for us, the things we experience in childhood are reflected in our adult selves.

I didn’t go on to be a child psychologist, but I did become a mother. And as a mother, that lecture is forever in my mind. I try to be conscious of how the things I do and the choices I make affect my child, including the toys I buy for him to play with. When I think about how I want my adult son to be described, I think that I want him to be seen as creative, a critical thinker, and a problem solver—all important qualities to have that facilitate success in many areas of life. So I have always sought out toys that foster these characteristics, my favorite being Creator LEGO sets.

Creator toys are perfect for developing these vital characteristics. LEGO quite naturally inspires creativity. You start with a heap of blocks and from them you create incredible things. Even if you follow the instructions rather than making something of your own choosing, the process helps you see the possibilities, encouraging your child to look at other things in life and see what they have the potential to be. Part of assembling these Creator LEGO sets is being a critical thinker. You must stop and think it over before you begin and formulate a plan for how to proceed. To assemble something, you must consider how each part will fit together and what they are meant to do. In addition to planning, it promotes reflection: what went well, what went wrong, and why.

These Creator toys also help children learn to be problem solvers. As they build, they will encounter problems. While they might be exasperated at first, they will push to work through it, eventually learning that finding solutions is easier and more effective than getting frustrated and defeated. Out of all the skills these LEGO toys help development, this might be the most important.

Because I believe so strongly in the value of LEGO play, I was very happy to learn about Pley.com. This LEGO sharing service allows me to give my son the chance to experience play with many different sets without my home becoming overrun with LEGOs. With their basic plan, we get to rent one set each month; this lets my son take on a new challenge and to exercise those important skills. It is the perfect way to play.

Access Without Ownership

When it comes to toys, children want access to them all. The problem is that parents rarely have the means to own them all. Toys are expensive and take up a lot of space; there are very few among us who have the budget and the square footage to buy at the rate their children would like. But, thanks to the growing sharing economy, many families are now able to find a balance between unlimited access and the constraints of ownership.

One of our favorite sharing services for toys is Pley.com. Focused exclusively on LEGOS, we think it gives parents the most bang for their buck. Part of the beauty of LEGOs is that they offer endless options. You can build one thing, then take it apart and build something brand new. Hours can be spent every day making new creations and playing with them. So, if you are going to opt for a subscription service for toys, LEGO is the way to go.

Pley offers LEGO sets of various complexity targeting a wide range of ages and interests. We are big fans of the 3-in-1 options that they offer as they give children the maximum amount of play that can be had from a single set. For example, the Red Rotors LEGO set could easily keep a child busy for the better part of a month. Start by making a helicopter then switch to a propeller plane and end with a cool hovercraft. And there are many other 3-in-1 sets that they offer.

To browse their sets, including the Red Rotors LEGO toy, visit Pley.com.

Can you Rent Toys?

For many children, the library is a magical place. You simply walk in and find a book you want. Then you can take it home with you to enjoy over and over again. Once you have had your fill, back it goes, and you can come home with something new. If only such a thing existed for toys.

Well, thanks to Pley.com, it does. Pley is focused strictly on LEGOs and offers a large and varied database of sets that you can rent for your child. They work hard to make certain there are options to suit any child—both boys and girls, both little and big. Many of their sets are complex enough that even parents won’t be able to resist getting in on the fun.

And, once you have had your fun with one set, you get to send it back and exchange it for another. And another. And another. Since they are always adding sets to their lending library, chances are good that you will never run out of new ways to play.

If you are looking to get maximum play out of each set that you rent, look into the various Creator 3-in-1 sets that they offer, such as the Highway Speedster LEGO set. These sets are designed to allow your child to build three different, cool toys from a single set of blocks. In the case of the Highway Speedster LEGO, you can build the sporty looking speedster, a classic racecar, and even a tow truck. With these sets, your child can easily get a month of play out of a single set before sending it back. After the Highway Speedster LEGO set, who knows what will be next!

There are several different subscriptions that you can choose from and the right one for you will depend on a few different factors—how much you are able to spend each month, how many different sets you would like to be able to rent in a month’s time, and the complexity of the sets you want to access. Their Rookie Plan is the cheapest option but limits you to one set a month and only covers sets that are low complexity. The Builder Plan lets you rent an unlimited amount of sets each month and covers sets up to medium complexity. The Master Plan allows you unlimited access to even their most complex sets and comes with faster shipping.

So if you are ready to get into the world of toy rentals, join the sharing economy with Pley.com and gain access to fun LEGO sets, including the Highway Speedster LEGO and more.

Making Wishes Come True—Without Breaking the Bank

If you have a child that loves to build, chances are good that he or she has been begging you for the Thunder Wings LEGO set every time you are in the toy store. It is easy to see why; like all LEGO Creator sets, it allows you to create cool toys on your own and can keep children busy for hours. And the options for this Thunder Wings toy are fun; children can create a jet, a robot, or a futuristic car.

The problem with the Thunder Wings LEGO set—and sets that are similar to it—is how much they cost. This particular set retails for around $40. While that might not break the bank on its own, children who are true LEGO devotees can power through multiple sets in a month. $40 might be reasonable; $120, not so much.

Even if you could make room in your budget for that, eventually you will run out of room to store the various sets, and you will never be able to sell them for what you paid. But, what if there were a way around buying all of these sets outright? Well, thanks to Pley.com, there is.

With Pley, your child can get that Thunder Wings toy he or she desires and, once everything has been built and played with, you can send it back and get another incredible set. The options are endless. Pley is constantly adding to its lending library which means that there will always be something new to excite and entertain your child.

The starting monthly subscription is lower than the cost of purchasing a single set at the store but allows you to access multiple sets, making it quite a deal. And, if your child becomes attached to a particular set, they also give you the option to purchase it at a discounted rate. Shipping is free both ways, making it an ideal way to play.

If you have multiple children at different ages and stages or just different interests, you can opt to rent two sets at once. They have so many options that it is all but guaranteed that you will be able to find sets to interest everyone in your home. Their most complex sets are great for the entire family to work with, making this service a great way to help your family bond and spend time together.

If you are interested in what Pley has to offer, take some time to browse their sets and learn more about their different subscriptions. And don’t be afraid to contact them with questions—they are a very friendly and helpful company to work with. So head on over to Pley.com to learn more.
